Help please! My toddler's hair is covered with Sudocrem!

Please can anyone help? My 22 month old son has a lovely head of thick hair and he's just wandered into the kitchen with it caked in Sudocrem! I have washed it 5 times, and although it is looking a little better, it is still really noticable. I'm worried that when my husband gets home, he will put the clippers to it! Does anyone have a magic solution?

That sounds terrible! Try concentrated washing up liquid?

I think baby wipes are the only things which remove Sudocreme.

Oh I feel your pain, dd did this too. She also covered the carpet...

It does wash out but takes a few washes with diluted baby shampoo and lots of rinsing spaced over a few days - on the upside, she'll smell of lavender for a while

What is it with toddlers and Sudocrem?! Mine has thankfully not plastered his hair with it, but his room and everything in it instead...twice! Now keep it well hidden away...

Try this : Mix a tablespoon of vinegar, a tsp. of baking soda, and a tablespoon of lemon juice. mix completely and apply it to the hair for about 2 minutes...rinse, then shampoo, that should take care of it

I tried baby wipes, but the sheer volume of it made it impossible. My friend has suggested lemon juice, as it may cut throuhg the grease. the only other thing is washing up liquid, but that will have to be a last resort, as the chemicals will be horrible.

Good news. After 6 washes and combing lemon juice through, his hair looks much better. It was still a little greasy looking, but a week on, it looks as good as new. Luckily my OH saw the funny side & didn't try to cut it off! Thank you for your suggestions
