What can I get my cousin for her 11th birthday ?

Hi, my cousin will be 11 soon. She is a complete tom boy and loves football. She can't read so not sure about books. She likes DVD's. What do you think about Coroline? Is it too young for her?

Coraline is fine for an 11 year old. Maybe you could get her the film and the book to encourage her reading?

How come she can't read at age 11? Is she dyslexic?

I don't know why she can't read. She lives at the opposite end of the country to us and I only see her once a year. Her school isn't very good apparently and she has had a rough childhood.

I think she'd watch the film but ditch the book. She's not at all enthusiastic about learning to read, which is a real shame.

I could find out what football team sh supports and get her something to do with that.
