Good construction type toys for 5 yr old dd?

We've belatedly discovered that dd quite likes this kind of thing - is really enjoying lego at the moment. Her 5th birthday is coming up and I'm wondering what kind of construction-y type toys you'd recommend.

Not knowing many other older children I don't really know where to begin with this kind of thing. Thanks.

As she likes Lego, just buy more Lego.
Get her to look at a Lego catalogue (if they still do those) or on the Lego website so that she can give suggestions as to what she wants. For example, she may want Wheels, Windows, People, Signs, Roads, Roof bricks, or may prefer the sets - House for example. One day she may get to build the Taj Mahal

If you want something different to Lego and have not got a Marble Run yet, then that can prove popular.

Have been thinking about a Marble Run too, so will look into that.
