i got a letter from the school today saying my 6 year old had been chosen to do the primary FUNdamentals club which is focusing on agility, balance, co-ordination and encouraging communication and interaction skills.

i know i need to speak to his teacher but was hoping someone could enlighten me a bit. he isn't the most sporty of children!

My son has just joined the school fundamentals club. Basically it is some kind of initiative from govt/local govt (not sure which). The teacher gets a bag of 'accessories' and cards which have tasks on them. They focus on coordination (i.e. catching a ball), balance (hopping from circle to circle) and so on. At our school they bring the task home for the week and have to practise. My DS is v poor at sports and I think it is quite good for him.
