The Science of PARENTING by Margot Sunderland Has anyone read it?

We all know what a tough tough job it is being a Parent. After all, babies do not come with manuals and we only know how to Parent bases mainly on our Parents. I did not have a good childhood hence I keep reading books trying to help me be the best Parent I can be and not make the mistack of my Parent.

I thought it was one of the most useful Parenting books I have read and I have read many. Totally different from all of the other books I've read.

I Just wondered what peoples thoughts were?

I borrowed mine from the Library.

I'm reading 'why love matters' by sue gerhardt but be warned its quite sciency and also very revealing if you had a tough time yourself - and may also set you up for parent guilt if its too late to use some of the info in parenting your own. If you're interested in this kind of thing though its worth a borrow. If your library doesn't stock it, you can make a request -sometimes they will buy books if people request them. So you could be doing hundreds of other parents and children a favour

A great, but more practical and easy read book i think is 'how to talk so kids will listen - and listen so they will talk' - again on amazon and there are 55 reviews! so have a look.
