My dd has unfortunately picked up a curse word/phrase from me (hangs head in shame) - and now uses it ... please could anyone tell me what the best appraoch is

ignore it

give her a replacement word/phrase

tell her not to say it.

When i did try and give her a replacement word, she just started saying the word again and again and again ....
really want to try and stop it!

Any suggestions apprecited

Ignore it and try not to say it yourself, instead start using the replacement word instead of swearing yourself and she will soon pick it up.

thanks - have been trying that, guess it might just take time!!! Cant believe that she has picked it up - unfortunately its a word i say when for e.g. the bus door closes on us, or when she fell down the stairs, so my obvious "energy" around the word has stayed with her!! Both DH and I on best behaviour language wise! lesson learned!
