hi my ds2 is 2.8 the past few weeks he been hitting his self in the face and body very hard ,and really banging his head on the floor walls etc, we tell him to stop but he just does it even more ,he has gdd but we are worried he will hurt himself bad one day any advice please !!

I think it is global developmental delay?

Have you tried physically moving him away every single time and distracting with something completely new?

Would social stories help......he may be too young.
I think I would pick him up and cuddle hold until he calms down.

I am sure this is common in toddlers without gdd.

ive tryed to distract him ,but its not going well today as dd has been missing since fri !!

dd told me she was going camping we bf turns out shes gone to salford to see her mate thats bad news have not seen her since fri !

Stay calm, leave easy going phone messages, don't let her think she is in trouble, easier said I know......
