How to handle this?

8 year old giving DH attitude.

Dh gives him a tap on the arm after the umpteenth back chat.

DS1 is very upset and cross that he will miss swimming tomorrow.

I went to talk to him and he just fought me off, shouted at me and ran up to his room and slammed the bedroom door.

I want to go and talk to him but I don't want to undermine DH and also I just hate things like this and give in too easily.

Ohhh this is in my house too except with 2 teens,made me cry today and im dead hard

I would leave talking to him till he calms down a bit.

I am wondering if DH should be the one to talk to him as it started with those two.
