Any ideas on how to stop DS screaming when he wakes up in the morning?

I have a 17 month old ds who has taken to sceaming when he wakes up in the morning. We do not leave him for long, just wondered if anyone has this problem and what are they doing about it?

Mine still wakes up crying every morning and he is 3 1/2! sorry but i've got know idea why!

I have noticed that my kids will only wake up crying if they are still tired.

Does he have any toys in his cot? Can you sneak some in so he wakes up with them there? DS is 13mo, but will chat for half an hour with his teddies in the morning (then pretends to be asleep when I go in to get him!).
