dd hates getting dressed.

my dd is 2 and getting her dressed is so hard. well - getting her dressed isn't the hardest part. its keeping her clothes on that is proving to be difficult.
as soon as her clothes are on she pulls at them and cries because she wants them off.
she likes running around in her nappy which isn't a problem indoors but shae has to have clothes on when we go out.

anyone with any ideas?? i've tried ignoring it and telling her that her clothes need to stay on but she always finds a way of taking them off.

Hello I too have a dd who is 2 and a half. However, I had another similar problem where she was in transition from nappy to knickers and she wouldn't want to have any nappy or knickers on under her clothes. My mum gave me the idea of telling her that the Bumble Bee was gonna come and eat her "chichi" if she didn't wear any knickers and that worked like a treat! Never had any problem again, although we still have to tell the bumble bee to go away home with its mummy and daddy because there is no "chichi" to be eaten any more once the knickers are in place. LOL!!!

I guess that you could say a similar thing along the lines of... "the bumble bee will come and eat your tummy and nappy away because it is very hungry and we do not want that. Do we? Come on! Quick, let's put some clothes on quickly! Oh, no! It wants to come inside of the house, I can see the bumble bee by the window...Quick!"

Not sure if it will help with your dd like it has with mine but I do hope so. Good luck!

We also had problems, have you let her choose what she wants to wear, may result in some weird combinations but because she has chosen them she may be more inclined to keep them on.
