How proud are we!!!!

Last night I was cooking dinner and dp was helping me. Ds (22mths) ran through from the living room shouting "Mummy, Pee pee!!!". He was stark naked apart from his socks, he loves being naked LOL!

I asked him to show me and he ran through and pointed to a small wet patch on the carpet. DP and I told him the he should do Pee Pee's in the potty. So he went over stood at the potty and Peed!!!!!!!!! He kept stopping and starting and laughing as he was doing it. Is this it??? Does he understand potty-training already????

We ceremoniously went upstairs and flushed it down the toilet. He was SO pleased with himself.

mum2toby - he does know to pee in it and should therefore do it again - it really helps if he likes to be naked as they can get there in time!- really good news - well on your way to no nappies - hurrah!

Mum2Toby · 14/05/2003 10:13

Thanks everyone.

Life without nappies!!! WOW!

Well done to DS, M2T.

My DS (21 months) did a poo in his today for the first time, so a double celebration

Not quite mastered wee yet, as he stopped mid-flow when I held the potty then five minutes later, ran off and left a nice puddle all over the kitchen floor - mmm!

Well done M2T's DS!

I'm celebrating too because I think we've cracked it! Been going cold turkey-no nappies for a week now and were out today from 10.30 to 4.30 and NO ACCIDENTS! I've discovered that 1) dd actually prefers the toilets to the potty 2) she wants to be on her own in there with the door closed. And that seems to have done the trick! I'm so proud of her! And so glad to say bye to the whole nappy business (although still in nappies for sleeping of course)
