Can I find details of development checks online?

My area has suspended routine developmental checks for now due to swine flu etc, my nearly 8 month old and nearly 2.5 year old were both due one soon.

Is there a checklist or anything similar online so I can just have a look and make sure they are generally on track?

Especially for the oldest as I have no idea whether she is average/adequate in regards to speech etc, obviously I have vague memories of what she was doing at 8 months to compare for the little one

There's a book called 0-5 you should have been given when you had your first baby. It's all in there I think.

The 8 month one is: is your baby eating, is he attempting to move about, can he pass a toy from hand to hand and do you think he can see and hear. (DS is only a year so I remember ours).

Hmm, that'll be buried in the attic! I think its available on the DOH website, will have a look there, thanks
