how on earth do you get teething powder into dc's mouth?

I have tried six times, and each time this supposedly wonderful powder has ended up on the floor. She's crying, I'm crying. How am I supposed to get it in her mouth? She's 10 months.

I think the first couple of times I sprinkled it onto my finger and then rubbed it round inside their mouths. It really was only a couple of times though because very quickly, as soon as they saw the little sachets they used to open up their mouths like little baby birds so that i could just pour it in! Teething powders really saved my sanity. In fact DS is at the stage of loosing his baby teeth now, and has started asking for them again!!
