Is that what your lo says when asking?

Or is it "I would like a drink please"

Dd was saying "I want " all the time, I've got her saying "I would like *" now....

She was also saying "Can you move please I want to get by" and now says "Excuse me please can I get by"

What do you teach your lo/s?

"Please can I have a drink" mine say most of the time .

They went through a phase of saying "I want" but I beat it out of them

Please may I...

coppola · 12/07/2009 21:40

I do shriek MAY every now and then these days...

DD1 (Reception) will say "Please can I have" or similar

DD2 wants anything and everything. She is 2.11. She cannot execute a please or a thankyou with any sort of consistency either

I believe they get it eventually, as long as you keep on role-modelling whay you expect from them
