He'll only drink juice which I dilute, or milk. Is there a good reason why he should drink water sometimes too (apart from my idea that it's healthy?)It being so hot, I'd love to know that he is hydrating enough. Sometimes his wet nappies are rather light. But apart from that, should he be drinking water on it's own?

Anyone else have experience of this?

I worry about this too, and am interested to know if it is necessary for a child to drink water, so hovering for some replies!

To encourage mine to drink more water I bought some exciting new cups (!) with straws which they love, or else I let them drink from mummy's glass. Which is tedious and messy, but at least gets fluids in them.
