Do teeth appear in a certain order?

I was expecting dd (22 weeks/5months) to get a bottom tooth first but her top gum feel sharp and she is visciously rubbing my knuckle against it. She does the same with her big toe.

Could a top tooth appear before her bottom ones?

Yes. There is a "norm" but a substantial minority get their teeth in a different order.
My DS (for example) has molars but no lateral incisors...

my DS2 got his 'fangs' before the middle ones...just in time for halloween! man that was freaky. Very cute until he smiled then incredibly sinister Doesn't always follow normal pattern. His teeth are fine now.

My DD's teeth have come in a different order to my DS's teeth!

here is the 'normal' order...

but I don't think any of DS1's followed that pattern tbh. He definitely got his 2 top teeth way before his bottom 2 teeth so yes, it is possible.

Here is another link for "normal" order: www.cyh.com/HealthTopics/HealthTopicDetails.aspx?p=243&np=292&id=2173#2 This shows the expected age for each tooth as well which is useful.

My DS (7 months) is looking like he might be getting his first tooth/teeth soon, and it is looking like he will get his top front teeth first.

oops sorry will try link again: www.cyh.com/HealthTopics/HealthTopicDetails.aspx?p=243&np=292&id=2173#2

My Ds2 got his fangs first, then two top ones, and then two bottom ones, doesn't have his bottom fangs but is cutting his molars
