He won't keep his blooming sun hat on and I used johnsons baby sun cream yesterday - but it is so thick and sticky - to protect his scalp (v. fair baby hair) I had to try and get this yucky stuff through it - then he looked like wurzel after.
Any rec. for organic type sunscreen or tips for keeping hats on?

Same age same problem lol.... we have a hat with a velcro strap from Marks and Spencer, it's dark blue and very cute and stays on better than others.... apart from that I don't know.... mine's very fair too and his scalp would burn in three minutes out in the Liverpool sun! So he often looks yucky...poor love...

Do you wear a hat yourself? I have found this the single best way.

And taking inside every time the hat comes off (helps if you have patio doors so he can look wistfully at you having a good time) leave for a minute and then pop on hat and say "hat goes on head" and go back outside until hat comes off and you have to repeat. It will take a while, but he will get it.

We spent so long at the garden centre yesterday going 'Theo hat on head...YAY! How cool do you look!' that after a few hours (lol) he started taking it off and putting it back on again for the 'Yay' lol!
