OK, so 5 hours isnt necessarily the longest journey in the world, but, dd needs constant amusement on the trip! She sits in her lovely maxi cosi seat, and appears amused by little aside from food and drink. A favourite toy just gets thrown onto the floor and then shreiked at lol.

What have you tried that really does keep them quiet! Unfortunately this trip, it is just me, her, and the woofies.

I just give my dd the contents of my handbag (safety permitting) - purse, make up, keys, phone etc - throughout the journey. Then it's on to CD's, maps and the rest of the contents of the car.

a cheap magnetic drawing board-thing is good for car journeys, their favourite cd on repeat (you'll need to embrace it or block it out!), stickers and somthing to stick them on, and working it all around nap time!... good luck
