DS crying every time I leave him at playgroup,for work etc help

My son has been going to playgroup three days a week allday for a while now,I wanted him to get used to not always me being there as he starts school September plus he has a sister and I wanted to spend some time with her, the problem is he as never cried before when I left him he has also started to go to school for one and a half days a week , I have to stay with him at the school which he is not used to , I feel it is making him regress, when I take him back to playgroup he cries and it breaks my heart, my son is not 4 till August. any ideas please,thanks.

I would keep him home if he's happier with that. He'll be going soon enough September and he might be okay by the time September arrives.

Perhaps he's finding the 3days playgroup plus 1.5days school too much just now. Cutting back to one or the other but not both might help too. Maybe drop playgroup.

Me and dh will have a chat I know your right deep down I think he is doing to much thank you for your advice.We will probably give up the playgroup thanks.
