Potty Training - Boys

If you have a little boy, what age did you start trying to potty train and at what age were they finally dry during the day and at night?

DD was dry botd day and night at 2.2 and was wondering if I'll have the same luck with DS (now 15 months - and too early to start probably, though he does sit on his potty and we have had 1 fluke wee in there!)

I started gently potty training ds around 18 months or so when he showed signs of being ready and he was dry by day by the time he was 2 and I took him out of night nappies around 2.6years (although he had been having dry morning nappies for a fair few weeks before then)

DS was dry during the day when he was 2.3. Could have been earlier probably but DD was born when he was 22 months and I didn't get round to doing it earlier.

He stopped having night nappies by 3, although again it could have been earlier, I was just uncourageous (and sleep deprived due to DD)

DS is 22 months and I am sort of feeling guiltily as if we should be thinking about this. He has a potty he sits on, and he can loudly announce when mum and dad are using the loo, but he can't quite master getting his trousers off and it all seems a bit optimistic to me. But I guess we wouldn't know unless we tried, huh?

Ds1 is now just 6, he was potty trained soon after he turned 2. Ds2, now 3, trained around 2.6. Neither are dry at night.
