first tooth at 2 months is this normal?

my 9 week old dd has got her first toot coming through i can just about see it poking through her gums and i can see it from the front of her gum. is it normal for her to have her teeth so soon ?? also is there any teething gel i bcan get for my bay at this age ?

hi. my dd3 got her first tooth at 8 weeks, so dont worry! she didnt seem too bothered by them tho so cant recommend a teething gel.

My dad (who is now 66) was born with teeth! any age to get teeth is fine, dont compare your baby to others otherwise you'll become a paranoid mess! 9 week old with nashers is absolutely fine, so long as you not still breastfeeding!!! OUCH!

hi, my nephew got his first tooth at afew days old. also i find dentinox teething gel very good. i THINK its from birth but cant be sure so double check xxx

Some babies are born with teeth! So it's not unheard of.

I wouldn't worry about teething gels yet, unless she does become unsettled. You can ask at the pharmacy which are suitable if you do need to buy some. Or perhaps try some of the homeopathic remedies like Nelsons Teetha or Ashton & Parsons' powders.

My DS is 8 months and I am still bf him, he got his first 2 teeth at 6 months. I haven't had any problems at all, I think once breastfeeding is established and the baby knows how to latch teeth don't pose a problem. If you do have any biting issues I'm sure the ladies on the breast/bottlefeeding board would be happy to advise a solution! Have you got any Lansinoh?
