Hi, my DS has been all over the place recently with his sleep!!! He has a 2 hour nap ater lunch which he happily has with no fuss but getting him to bed is a nightmare. He used to go down at 7 but now its more like 10 or later!!! There is no crying he is just talking to himself etc!!! Why isn't he tired!!! He obviously needs his nap as he happily goes straight to sleep for a good two hours?! I have a black out blind aswell?! What do i do?!!!

You could try just letting him have a one hour nap, or making him have his nap earlier in the day, then wearing him out in the afternoon/evening so he is tired for bed earlier. A good warm bath, milk and quiet time before bed helps too.

My ds is 21 months and it's getting a bit tricky here too, I think it's the start of him not needing his nap as much here, but I'm clinging on to it for as long as possible! I need that hour!!

I cut my DS down to one hour at lunch time. He is still a poor sleeper, but it has made a difference. He only wakes once a night now.

Aaw it's horrible when you just want the day to end and they stay awake. But as long as he's not crying I wouldn't worry, he'll probably drop off soon enough. Mine's up there now dragging a book along the cot bars like a prisoner. lol
