advice for 3.10

Pls could someone give me advice should I let the nursery know? The other day nursery staff apologised that my ds 3.10 had been hit and sworn at (F word) by another child but now since then he goes round hitting family and saying when he hits he has to say fword. He has also learned dirty words and hand movements games that involve in his words sex probably from the same child which I dont approve of at all what should I do? I tell him off and say thats very naughty and should not do that, I switch of his favorite programs what els should I do

I would tell nursery staff and ask them to monitor it, but when he's with you ignore it. The more you react the more a child of this age will repeat actions and words to get your attention and reaction.

This behaviour from the other child should be nipped in the bud by nursery staff, if they make light of it I personally would go straight to the head or nursery manager and highlight it further.

That's terrible. if you're certain it's all coming from the nursery, you should let the nursery know. They need to tackle it there as well as you doing it at home.

Other than that, tell him very clearly every time he does it that the behaviour is wrong and "we don't do that/talk like that."

Thanks for msg I am certain its from the nursery because no one in our family and enviroment swears. The only place he goes to is the nursery and he has come home telling us everything. He is quite a chatterbox.
