Is she ready to have a go at proper training do you think - or is it too early?

She just all of a sudden asked to go and sit on the potty and then did a wee. It was all very exciting and she thinks she's brilliant now.

I'm chilled either way, but I'm tempted to just give it a try this week and see how things go. WWYD?

She asked again later, but no wee that time.

Probably just a fluke!

you may as well go for it
have you got any big girl's pants?
or if your not 100% sure she's ready you could try pullups if you don't want to clear up the accidents

Hi puppymonkey, Its great when they do it for the first time isn't it!!

My ds was much like your dd, he just asked me one day if he could use his potty after weeks of me trying to get him to do it (without success). From that day on I put him in pants and i'm happy to say that w've only had minor accidents.

Good luck, and well done to your dd. x

my ds trained at this age and then gave up it wouldn't hurt to keep it going but keep in your mind the novelty may ware off and you may need to take a step back and try again

we had 2 false starts few weeks of doing great each time then back to nappies when he was 3 he woke up and has been dry in day since

PuppyMonkey · 17/05/2009 15:14

Think I'll go off and get pants tomorrow!
