How tall are your 9 year old DSs?

My DS is 9 (tomorrow actually) and I saw him standing next to some of his classmates and was surprised to see how small he is!
Hes not exactly short but other kids seem to have grown and he doesnt seem to have changed in height at all. He wears age 9 trousers but I have to do the waist adjusters up really tight because he is very slim.
So I was just wondering how tall other 9 year old boys are and if Im just being silly? He is 4ft 3 by the way. Thanks.

my ds is 9 at beginning of Oct and he's about 4' 4" . he's one of the tallest in class but there are a couple much younger who are as tall or taller and a couple that are around the same age but are quite a lot smaller than him.

my ds was 9 in january and is 136cm so 4'5". Lots of variation in his class. Curious now so off to look what centile he is on....

136 cm is bang on 50th centile at age 9.5 so he is distinctly average!

Our ds recently turned 9 and is just under 4'3". He's the shortest in his class (I think only one girl is shorter than him). Some of his class are really tall - almost too tall, in my opinion (getting to "adult" height).

We've explained to him that people are all different and that his growing spurt may come later than others, as it did with my dh. He's healthy and balanced in terms of his overall height, weight and age so we're not worried.

Thanks for your replies. Just checked on the centile chart and he is on the line under the average line! So not too bad then.
Its just that boys who were a lot shorter then him have suddenly caught him up. Maybe he will have a growth spurt soon or something!
