Morning,

My 2.8yr old son used to be a brilliant eater but just recently hes become so fussy. He refuses to eat any kind of meat, potatoes, vegetables.
In fact the only things he will eat is pasta, bread, dairy products and bananas.

Ive tried all the tricks in the book like hiding foods, blending them up, making pictures out of the food.

anybody have any advice please as im at my wits end.
Thankyou

hi, they all do this believe me - I've been through it (and still am) with 3 LO's. Dd1 would only eat beans and sausages at one point. . .

Personally, I've found the best way to deal with it is relax (hard I know) - he will eat what he needs. In fact, I read somewhere LO's shun fresh veg and fruit and prefer carbs cos these are better for growth.

Try smaller portions, no puddings/snacks and nothing else to eat if he doesn't eat his dinner. Or perhaps try little and often. Or smoothies.

As long as you only offer good healthy food he WILL come out the other side! I found dd1 was ready to try new foods by the age of 4 - nothing bad has happened because she was so fussy and she is fit, healthy and bright as a button!
