Taking sides off cot bed - keep in grobag or get duvet?

Thinking the time has come to take the sides of DD1 cotbed (2.4yrs) but she normally sleeps in a Grobag(TM)(which she can get herself out of or shuffle round in perfectly well!). What would anyone suggest we do about bedding - is Grobag on a toddler bed OK or should I get a duvet set? Seen some (quite pricey) zip-in bedset things also from Grobag - are these worth the money?

When I put my DS1 into a bed I used to put him down for his afernoon naps with a little duvet on (bought from IKEA v.cheap), so he could get used to it without the worry of getting cold.

However for my DS2 he just doesn't seem to get the idea at all so I am going to put him in a bed with a gro-bag. He is 2.4 also but I am being a chicken because I'm sure he will just get out all the time he's not big on sleeping.....

If you get a normal single duvet you will be able to tuck it in pretty well so I would say that is a better option than spending money on a zip-in bed thing after all she will soon get the hang of it.

Good luck

When my 3.5 went into a bed she still had her grobag on as she liked the security of this. I felt i didn't want to take her grobag away too. But it also stopped her getting out of bed all the time, as i used a very thin grobag and blankets.
