Since my DS's two top teeth arrived he has been biting me incessantly, leaving horrible bruises. Seriously, I look like I've been in a fight!
Anyway, I kept meaning to post on here and ask for advice. The original reaction I was trying was a loud "ow", followed by "no". DS's reaction was to sit and giggle at me. I then tried it with no eye contact, same reaction from DS. So, being the cunning thing I am I thought, right, well he thinks its a game so I'm not going to react. Starting on Friday, I let him bite me to his heart's content (except when he tried my nipple!). No reaction from me, I didn't stop him and I kept as quiet as I could. Saturday brought no biting at all and he's only bitten me once since.

anyhow, thought i'd share my experience on here in case it helps another mum/dad being eaten alive by their LO

that is interesting. My 9 month old has just started with some very painful biting - fortunately not yet on the nipple, but everywhere else. He also giggles if I say no so I'll have to try your method.

oh good luck Chandellina, you have my sympathies! I really hope it works for you

I warn you now, the first bite with no reaction was really hard to do but it was as soon as the second one after that, things got alot better
