Do boys have some sort of hormone thing going on at 10?

Grumpy, a bit sad at times (not at all like ds), a bit sarcastic, sulks if doesn't get his own way (all new bar the sarcasm). Is this the start of puberty? Is my little darling turining into Kevin?

Sounds just like my DS who is also 10. I think the hormones are starting to kick in. Definitely Kevin is on his way as it's the 'Oh it's sooooo UNFAIR' thing in our house.

Yup. It's the huffing and puffing, whispering under the breath attitude that's . He said he was sad when he went to bed and he wanted to just shut himself away. This really took me by surprise, not at all like the happy, smiley ds I have.

My DS also gets stages where he's sad but without really knowing why - yesterday he threw a right hissy fit when out at a pub for lunch (said he was bored) and then when he went to bed was in tears and calling himself a wimp! He really couldn't articulate why he was so upset and it is a change from normal. It makes me as it only seems like yesterday since he was a baby and soon I will have some strange alien being occupying his body...

Join the club ladies - ds will be 12 in June and he is getting worse.

He does all the huffing, puffing and whispering under the breath too Fluffy

Oh and the tears Shelling - can sympathise on that too only mine says he might as well not live!
