managing 3.8 child

Help Ds 3.8 was very polite well behaved child but now is getting naughtier day by day for some reason has started hitting, biting, screaming and crying when cann't get own way. how do we prevent this getting any worse

A friend of mine refers to this as the f**king fours. It sounds like your DS has reached them early! No massively original suggestions. Maybe read "how to talk so children will listen" and "raising boys". I love "unconditional parenting" by Alfie Kohn, and try (with mixed success) to put his ideas into practice. However, many people on mumsnet think his ideas are a load of waffle, and my DS isn't exactly a paragon of polite good behaviour!

I'll follow this thread with interest because DS1 is 3.9.
