stranger anxiety

Hello. My dd is four months old and has just started to cry hysterically if anyone other than me or her father holds her. Sadly this extends to her grandmothers - who she sees a few times a week and has always been happy with before. Do we just wait or can we take any action to make her more comfortable. Would hate to lose my mother as her babysitter....

erm I think we had a bit of this with dd, she rapidly grew out of it, then has developed it again as she's gotten older and realised strangers are just that!
I think I'd just stick with it for now, she obviously recognises you and your dh and your scents, just reassure her that your close by and try to get her used to other people doing the holding as much as possible.

cheers. wasn't sure whether to give up for a while or let her cry with my mother for a short time.
