We moved our 4 year old dd from the school she first went to from the age of 3 in January, as my dh I and were very unhappy with the school for a mumber of reasons.
Thing is, our dd was very popular with the teacher and kids had lots of friends and loved it at the school, she would always run in very excited and happy to be there, she has never had any problems mixing with other children.
We have moved her to the best school we feel in the area, only over the last couple of weeks shes been acting quite depressed and is almost crying saying that other children dont want to play with her, and says she does try to play with them but they just ignore her, this sounds odd for 4 year olds to be like this?..she does have two friends which she talks about all the time, there have also been birthday party's we have heard about that she hasnt been invited to..We feel we have made our daughter really unhappy, she not the confident little girl she used to be, We have asked the teachers if shes settling in ok, and they say shes fine....dont know what to do, really dont want to move her again, the teaching at this school is excellent.

Kids can be so cruel, we are going through this with DS at the moment he is nearly 6 and in yr 1 and in recepion he had lots of friends but does not seem to have made any in yr1. It is early days for your dd and if she was popularin her last school I am sure she will soon find friends. You have done the best ting for her educataion so I am sure she will soon be very busy with birthday invites soon.
