Whats going on with my nearly 6 mth old?

DD is 23 weeks old. She has been the most chilled out, happy little baby since birth - great sleeper and eater, very relaxed and smiley. In the last fortnight or so, however, she has started to seem more unsettled, generally. She is sleeping much more lightly (any noise wakes her) and cries at any loud or sudden noise - even a sneeze or cough in the next room upsets her, and relatives that she was previously fine around can reduce her to hysterics just by smiling and saying hello. She just suddenly seems really over sensitive.

This has coincided with an obvious developmental stage - she has learned to roll over, is almost sitting up unaided and I'm pretty sure will be well ready for weaning by 26 wks as has upped her milk feeds dramatically - so maybe that's it, but it just seems she has suddenly become much more fragile and easily upset...

She's not my first, so you'd think I'd have ascooby what's going on...

Sorry, I can't help but wanted to sympathise as I seem to be experiencing the same with my DD who is the same age. She doesn't sound quite as sensitive as your LO but she is much more clingy and generally unhappy which is really not like her at all. It's only been for the past few days so I am watching and waiting. Teething maybe??

Looking forward to some words of wisdom from experienced mums!
