Do I need to do anything?

She is 13 months and had a good mouthful when my back was turned. I've given her some water.

No

will probably help protect her from Asthma!

She may get a slight tummy upset as there can be nasty bugs in soil - but more often than not it will be fine.

DS ate a cat shit when he was little. Didn't even have a dose of the runs. (I of course was running round ringing GPs and A&E)
He's a great hulking 14 year old now really annoying me by insisting on playing his Wii in here at this particular moment.

Oh god, both mine love a bit of mud now and again. No ill effects noted!

izyboy · 24/04/2009 17:36

DD licked a slug the other day

Thanks. Mud doesnt taste too good, so hopefully she wont do it again. I kind of recall eating mud and worms myself when a child

At least it wasn't cat poo like springlamb's DS!

I used to love eating dirt and crunching on coal - my uncle was a coal man, blimey showing my age here You'll find she'll develop the constitution of an Ox

DS2 (9months) has been eating a handful of mud whenever my back is turned in the garden. Obviously tastes better than my cooking...

Also, he's taken to chewing on chunks of concrete.

HecatesTwopenceworth · 25/04/2009 10:13

she'll be fine. Mine were practically weaned on mud, slugs, snails and worms.

Spillage21 · 25/04/2009 10:16

I used to eat worm casts when small. I remember them being quite tasty...

I also ate a cat poo 'like a mars bar' when small (under the charge of my Dad). My Dad was a bacteriologist and having explained himself to my Mum he just kept an eye on me...and I was fine.

I also have a constitution of an ox, no allergies, asthma, etc...but I am a bit fat.
