Hi i have 4 week old boy who fights sleep continually my husband or i always have to rock or walk him and he will only fall asleep in our arms. He also often wakes up when we finally put him down. Feel like i'm constantly holding him - any advice or is this normal for so young a baby?

This is pretty normal. Be glad he will sleep in your arms - my DS never did, he just cried for hours on end instead! Sometimes he would sleep in his pushchair but only if it was moving - woke up the minute it stopped though (depressing in the middle of winter too).

Not sure when it will pass, but I do remember quite a bit of improvement at 6+ weeks. Not fixed but better.

if you use a stretchy wrap sling like the Closer or Moby you can just get on with things and he will fall asleep when he needs to
it certainly is normal behaviour, but tiring unless you have something to help you such as a sling
