back from holiday - how do I get him back to routine?

We have just been on holiday for two weeks, where we have tried to keep our 5 months old son in routine (two hours time difference forward).

As we have been driving a lot and he was held by many different people (family and friends) he has changed quit a bit and from a contented baby sleeping from 7.30 to 7.30 he now wakes up crying once at night, woke up at 6am and is crying a lot during the day.

Since we are home we have tried to keep in routine and not do a lot, and it seems to get a bit better (only second day home) but I wondered if anyone has any advice?

Has it improved yet Jasmer? I think you are doing the right thing but it will take a few more days yet. This has always happened with my son after holidays but you just have to be consistent. Maybe some of the extra crying is because he is tired (since he is waking so much ealier) so once you get his routine settled that should help with the crying too.

We've been through this after every holiday we've had with my daughter, now 3. She always wakes up crying every night for the first week. We've always used the control crying (keep going in to comfort her, leaving it a bit longer each time) and by the 4th or 5th night she's back to normal.
You're doing the right things, just hang in there.
