my 3.8 ds was a well behaved polite child but for some reason has started to become very agressive havingtrantrums he bites, spits, rude and screams the place down for the simplest reason putting his pyjamas on is a nightmare uncontrolable. I dont know what brought it on we probably spoil him alot he has cp and is the youngest in a big family but why has it come out now and not in the terribletwos. Can anyone give me any tips on helping him calm down? I already have tried the naughty step, counting 5,4,3, puting in another room he just gets more distressed.

Could it be a control thing? Would giving him choice, ie pjs then teeth or teeth then pjs help?

yes I think it is a control thing he wants his own way very strong willed I do give choices but still if its NO its no and you can not change his mind drives me up the wall how can I change his stubbornness I have the same problem with all his clothes will only wear certain clothes

lol, sounds like a combo of my ds and dd1! DS is known as a dedicated follower of fashion in our house.

What about offering nice choice/ unpleasant choice? teeth, pjs & story, or don't co-operate, into bed in your clothes and no story? This currently works a treat. another one I use is a race to get pj top/legs on before I've finished a task.
