2 yo tantrums

I know i'm not alone but wanted some moral support, 2 yo ds been awful all day, not sharing toys/hitting the dog/crying/won't go to bed - aaarggghh!! When do they grow out of this phase?!

mine got better at 3, then all went to hell again at 4

just pace yourself, pick your battles - have firm logical non-punitive consequences (like removing him to a quiet place where he can't hurt the dog etc until he has calmed down)

take care of yourself - cups of tea, chocolate, nice long soak in the bath when he's asleep xx

Any tips on getting toddlers to leave anywhere without them having a tantrum? Have tried diversion techniques/not leaving when tired/hungry etc etc however sometimes nothing works! TIA

have you tried 10, then 5, then 2 minute warnings? It helps for us - but nothing works entirely, sometimes they just don't want to leave.

Must give it a try, he's pretty good at understanding words so hopefully it will sink in pdq! Thanks

So is it normal for the poo thing to take a bit longer?

We're on about day 10 and have had no wee accidents all day but he pooed his pants just like nearly every other day.

Not sure what to do next. But it is so exciting that he finally knows when he needs to wee (he does a few extra trips where nothing happens as well but that's ok)
