Mine still does and he's 7.

Then again so does his dad!

2 is a bit young - is he out of nappies or not yet? He will discover it fairly soon and it will make him very happy: the beginning of a lifelong source of joy...

ThingOne · 07/04/2009 22:43

All males play with their bits for most of their life. Some just start late. My job as a parent is to teach them not to do it in public. And to laugh when they compare their willies.

juneybean · 07/04/2009 22:44

"the beginning of a lifelong source of joy... " ROFL I feel the need to quote this somewhere

Claire2009 · 07/04/2009 22:45

SGB, No hes not out of nappies but he does have days where he has no nappy on and uses the potty so it is accessible...

Friends have an 18mo and a 22mo and they have both found their willies and have great joy ...

there have been threads on here before about how little boys who play with their willies a lot are less likely to have foreskin problems in the future as the yanking and poking helps it to stretch for when it needs to be able to be pulled back

dunno how true that is, its just what I read on here

Claire2009 · 07/04/2009 22:57

Thanks SBS, although I won't be encouraging it. Its just something he either will/will not do I guess?

DS is 18m and manages to get a hand down his nappy. He frequently falls over due to being off balance and having no hand to stabilize himself...

Claire2009 · 07/04/2009 23:00

LOL Chaotica!!!

So........Just a waiting game to see if DS finds and erm.....explores....

DS didn't when he was 2.

Now he is 5 and he does

Colonelcupcake · 08/04/2009 14:03

My DS2 found his aged 9 months and loves it My DS1 is 2.4 and doesn't take any notice except he calls it (his choice of words) his dingle

notsoteenagemum · 08/04/2009 14:20

Ds aged four isn't bothered yet though he occasionally puts it through an empty toilet roll and chases dd around though[bhmmm}

notsoteenagemum · 08/04/2009 14:20

oh bum [bhmmm]

SarahL2 · 08/04/2009 14:35

Actually, genuinely, LOL'ed at chaotica's post

My DS is just 2 and while he'll have a play in the bath and occasionally at nappy change, he doesn't seem that bothered with it most of the time.

I'm sure he'll discover it soon though. As long as I can keep him off it in public, I think we'll be OK.

suwoo · 08/04/2009 14:36

My DS doesn't bother with his at all yet although he is only 2.4. He doesn't seem to like you to touch it at all. I have to be really careful when changing his nappy as he will often screech 'don't touch my winky'

HecAteTheEasterBunny · 08/04/2009 14:38

Oh god yes. Mine are always fumbling about. I try to be very Correct and say "That's something that you should do in your bedroom, not in front of other people." but I must admit I was lost for words when ds1 stuck his finger up his arse.

womblingfree · 08/04/2009 16:41

Does anyone have girls who play with theirs???

DD (4.6) doesn't as such, but when giving herself a wash in the bath recently commented on how it 'tickled' when she washed her girly bits - was a little bit I must admit....

Claire2009 · 08/04/2009 16:58

DD is 3.2 & hasn't yet Womblingfree....... I thought it was just a 'boy thing'

screamingabdab · 08/04/2009 18:00

Both DSs do. DS2 (age 5) in a more concerted way, but still fiddling.

I have known a couple of little girls who definitely masturbate by rubbing on pushchair straps etc (there was a thread about this a couple of weeks ago0

Claire2009 · 08/04/2009 18:02

Ohh, yes. DD done the pushchair strap masturbating thing for a while

screamingabdab · 08/04/2009 18:02

notsoteenagemum that reminds me of when my DH gave his wedding ring to DS1 to play with in the bath. DS1 (age 3) put it on his willy (oh how we laughed !)

CherryChoc · 09/04/2009 11:25

DS has just found his at nappy changes and he is only 6 months

Makes it easier I suppose though as while he's playing he's not screeching at the indignity of being changed!

deaconblue · 09/04/2009 11:37

My ds never played with his at all until we started potty training. Now he would spend all day with his hand in his pants if he could get away with it.
