Tongue out when babbling/trying to speak

DS (23mths) is doing this a lot the last few days, I'm wondering if he's kinda practising his speech/excercising his mouth type thing or if there might be more to it?

ds2 is doing it too, I put it down to exploring sounds and what he can do with his tongue. We're ignoring it for now
