just lie there and chew their fist?

DS2 is 4 months and, although his head control isn't fantastic, he is capable of lifting it up when he is on his tummy.

Oh no, he just lies there contentedly chewing his fist, dribbling and gurgling - may make the occasional half-hearted attempt to lift his head but soon gives into the temptation of his fist.

Sounds like he could be starting to teeth. My Ds 1 started having the red cheeks and drooling at 3 months. Teeth came at about 4 months.

Actually, the way you describe it, it sounds quite pleasurable

Sorry, teethe , not teeth

My ds2 is 15 weeks and prefers general arm/sleeve chewing, i think it may be nerve related as he'd rather not see his 2 year old brother running around him with trucks/cars/anything he can lift He'll probably learn to crawl when he's about 4 at this rate, due to the floor being a dangerous area unless his brother's in bed

Hiccymapops are you me?? I also have a 2.9 year old and DS2 definitely keeps a low profile whenever he is around - almost as if he is thinking if he can't see/hear me, he can't hurt me .

I think he is teething but he has been doing this since he was born so nothing new - just seems as if he can't be bothered cos his fist is so much more enjoyable.
