Hi,

I'm a young mother of 22 (almost 23) and have a daughter 2years and 4 months and a son 5months. I try to do alot with them but can't shake of the thought of me failing them. (I haven't had a great bond with my parents growing up, maybe to do with that) But it really holds me back in life because I already think I'll be failing them before trying, so why try?

They are very happy children and I have no complaints about their behaviour, but maybe thats just their personality?

How can I know i'm doing good as a mother?
I'm realy insecure about that.

ps.: Pardon my poor English, I'm from Belgium but raised both languages 'cuze of English grandmother.

Plaese tell me your thoughts...

It sounds like you're doing a good job already

Lack of a bond with your parents can definitely impact on things like this.

I'd recommend reading a book like this - it's easy to read and has some great tips, but will probably also confirm that a lot of what you're doing you're doing right and well
