My 6 months old sleeping pattern has gone to pot since I started weaning her!

Since I have started weaning my 6 month old her sleep pattern has completely changed. she has always had her last bottle around 10.00pm and slept through until 8.00am in the morning no problem, but as soon as I started weaning her she can't seem to stay awake past 7.00pm after her bath, and then wakes up at 4.00am. I have tried dream feeding around 10.00pm but she still wakes up. Is this normal?

yes. it's a combination of the developmental changes and growth spurts that occur around that age. If the dream feed doesn't make any difference, I would drop it and let her sleep uninterrupted personally. It will all change again in a month.

My DD is also 6 months old and her sleep has totally gone to pot in the past 3 weeks or so which has coincided with her having food. DD goes to bed ok at 7.15, bottle at 6.30, bath, then story while she calms down. But - she then is waking anywhere between 10 and 11.30pm for a bottle. If she wakes at 10pm she'll then wake again at 2 for more food (a recent development as she had started to drop this feed), then wakes again at 5 where she sometimes settles again, sometimes not! If she wakes at 11 odd then she usually sleeps til 4ish, then down again for another hour or so.

If you get your DD you return to sleeping through til 8am I'd love to know your secret! I'm hoping that our combination of food, slight sniffle, development stuff and growth spurt explains this all and in a few weeks it will calm down. In the meantime - chocolate and coffee for me!!
