Do teeth always come through in the order they're supposed to?!

Daft question but DS already has two bottom teeth and is now teething like crazy again - but there is no sign of the top two middle. Instead I can see new bumps next to the bottom teeth and also in the upper canine area. Can they come through in different order or is it likely that I just can't see the upper two but they are lurking?

Yup!

I think it is called cutting on the cross, or at least that is what my Mother would call it! DD did just the same, she had her canines ahead of her two front big teeth - she looked like a vampire for a few months!

It's possible, DS2's top teeth came out before bottom teeth (at 4 months!!)

None of the Small Dragons got theirs in the right order. DSs both got middle bottom, outside bottom and then the outside top. They looked like vampires. DD I think got the bottom middle ones and then filled in the top and bottom from left to right.

The pointy canines seem to come in last (bizarrely) - it's the outside 2 front teeth that make them look like vampires.

Ds's have been really random - he has nearly all of them now but still has a gap in the middle of one side, where he already has his front and back teeth but one of the middle ones still isn't there! Wonder if that's why he's having such a strop about toothbrushing just now...

Yes

Both dds got their bottom middle 2 first but then got the upper canines

They were like vampires for ages
