Are exersaucers ok for babies? My dd is quite active and curious but she only goes in her bouncy chair, on activity mat or in buggy during the day, and she loves standing when being held. ARe exersaucers a good/bad thing? We put her in one whilst on holiday in US and she loved it, her eyes went like saucers checking out all the different toys. A friend had one and used it a lot and her son was quite late walking - wonder if babies get lazy from just standing rather than moving around on the floor? DD is almost rolling over and I just want to keep her stimulated and happy but always get a bit overwhelmed choosing toys for her in shops. I'm on my own all day so exersaucer wd be a great help.

I guess you will get mixed responses on this. We bought the baby einstein one and DD loved it and I now put DS in it and he thinks it is great. I think if you vary the activities they do and give a good mixture of things to do during the day then they will not get lazy. They walk when they are ready so don't worry that it will delay things. They quite often come up on ebay if you don't want too much expense and you can always sell it again on there. If you don't get one I a sure the floor and assorted toys will be fine too

Both my kids loved the walker I got from ebay for them. It's one of the ones they sit inside and can wheel around wherever they want. Ours has a tray so I put different toys on that for them to play with too.

It was by far the best toy I have ever bought!

Forgot to say - it kills your ankles when they run into you though!!

I had a Fisherprice Jumperroo for my dd when she was 6 months plus and she loved it. She sat in it and could bounce up and down and it has lots of toys and plays music. She adored it and would have spent all day in it if I had let her. In terms of walking she then walked at 13 months so didn't do her any harm. IMO walkers are more dangerous, especially if you have stairs. They have also been known to tip over with the baby in them.

I am so out of date, I have no idea what you are talking about!!!

DS1 (age 8) loved his baby bouncer. It was a real lifesaver for me

I have the Leap frog activity center and DS1 and Ds2 loved it. Ds2 now 10 months doesn't like it as much as wants to be crawling and on the floor doing his own thing.
