Any advice on how to help a 2 1/2 yr old girl stop hitting/pulling hair with peers, especially when playing with toys indoors. We currently do time out and are using a reward chart for nice, cooperative behaviour. I've also tried explaining to her that it hurts others and makes mummy/daddy sad and how she can make others happy. It's particularly bad at nursery. She is a very bright girl with good language...at times seems to be aggressive completely unprovoked and will also deliberately provoke another child e.g. take the toy they want even if she's not interested in it - like she wants to get them to cry/react......
I feel quite ashamed and embarrassed by her which feels terrible as she's gorgeous....
