Whenever we present our DD with a new toy and shake it in front of her she sort of goes stiff and shudders and head and arms and opens her mouth and eyes wide...is this normal???!!

Oh yes, DS2 (nearly 7 months) does this too. Much to DS1 (7) astonishment - "Mum, he's on vibrate again" (?!)

screamingabdab · 12/03/2009 22:40

So normal - and so cute. Both my DSs did it

lol jenpet

Awwwwwwwwwwwww.

Humpdebump · 12/03/2009 23:30

DS1 still does it and he is 3.4yrs!!! Only now he just does it with 'pet' things (special cuddly toy). Grits his teeth and sort of tenses and shakes! Also makes a funny squeak! I am not worried, its quite endearing to think he still does it actually.

Ohh, thank goodness for this post. My dd (nearly 10 months old) has been doing this recently and I was worried if it is normal or not. Definitely pfb!
