Wanted to tell everyone. DS just pulled himself up to standing

My DS just surprised me by pulling himself up to standing. He's 7mo tomorrow. Is that 'normal' timing. He was VERY excited so I'm anticipating disturbed sleep tonight (and I'm off to the shed to find the allen key that will let me lower the height of his bed first thing tomorrow!!)

aw thats very exciting! 7mo is quite early I think - my ds did it around 9mo.

Be prepared for a few sleeplees nights as he pulls himself up but then can't quite figure out how to get down again!

Wow, he's a standing genius!!

Both mine did it around 9/10 months

DD did same, at 6.5 mo she crawled, 2 days later pulled herself up to standing, 2/3 days after she was cruising around the furniture. She then practiced the new skills in her cot every night from 4am til 6 am for weeks...

Walked at 10mo, which was early but seemed late to us because she had been cruising for so long first. Am hoping DS is going to be one of those nice still babies that only sit til 12mo

nicky and moaning so glad it isn't just me then. My DS started by crawling at 5.5 months then pulling up at 6. He's now cruising as well at 7 months. Am finding the waking in the night exhausting at the moment. As soon as I put him down he opens his eyes smiles at me and then pulls himself up....aargh.

To make things worse we have to go on a plane for 13 hours next month. Why oh why can't he be one of those that just likes to sit quietly - funny when lots of other mums are worrying about their LOs not doing these things.
