Refusing food because of cold?

I thought I was an old hand at DD having bugs but she has had a cold for a week and has not once eaten her dinner, which hasn't happened before. Am getting really sick of throwing away food. She is drinking loads of milk though, and even waking up at night for it (she is 2.4 so this is not ideal!)

DO any of your LOs refuse food for this long when they have a cold??

I think she has all her teeth.

It's so frustrating!

TIA

I meant to say she is eating organix crisps etc, chips and biscuits but just refusing anything healthy from a spoon, like the stews and pasta and things she usually loves!!

Youhave to remember that it dosn't smell right, it doesn't taste right and she probably isn't all that hungry if she is ill.

Just cook her a bit less until she gets her appetite back. It won't hurt her and you won't waste (as much) food.

Yes.dd has had a hellish cold for about 2 weeks. She has lived on milk/babybels yoghurt /banana and fruity teabread, but no "proper dinner"!!!!I guess her propre appetite will return when she is less snot laden!

Good idea!

I was so pleased I had built up a nice stock of food for her in the freezer at last, and its just getting chucked out!!!
