or sometimes with eyes half closed. Is this normal?

Yes I think they all do it at some time. I think after they've crashed into a few things or tripped over, they realise that it is better to have their eyes open!

Ds does eyes closed and walking backwards! Thinks it's just his way of exploring new sensations (like banging head off fridge )

phew!
Thought I had a wee oddbod. Thanks for reassuring me.

my ds did this, though his greatest pleasure for about three weeks was to put the laundry bin over his head and wander round bumping into things

aw bless him! we have experienced the waste paper basket on the head!

DS (3 in a few weeks) loves doing this. I think he thinks we can't see him

Oh blimey - this has given me huge flashbacks of ds2 doing this - he thought it was hilarious to walk around with his eyes closed - bumped into everything, copious bruises...

Marne · 04/03/2009 15:21

Yes dd2 is also doing this and banging in to things.

good-sounds like a fairly normal developmental stage then!
